Once again, the Marriott has presented PAWS Park with a substantial donation. Also, we recieved a nice gift from a Solvang resident. Thank you very much – your generosity will go a long way toward park maintenance and improvements.

Thanks to Jeanne, Melissa and Linda for coming out to help with park maintenance. Jeanne sprayed the hillside with Melissa and Linda’s help. Darin was able to mow inside and outside both parks with the riding mower.

PAWS Park Wine!

In cooperation with Caravintas Tasting Room in Solvang, we have two wines available. PAWS Park receives a small portion from the sale of these two wines. Each bottle has a dog on the label. The rosé wine features Nadia, owned by Darin and Melissa, and the red features Tipper, owned by Valerie. Stop by Caravintas and pick up a few bottles for the holidays!

We have new silk-screened PAWS Park logo shirts for sale. Men’s T-Shirts are $12 each in sizes from Small to XXL. Women’s V-Neck shirts are $15 each in sizes Small to Large. You can order yours on the website or at Wandering Dog Wine Bar in Solvang.

Valley Pets Day

On October 30th, we teamed up with Valley Pets in Buellton. We shared the profits from their sales. Just one more thing the board is doing to maintain PAWS Park!

Rattlesnake Aversion Training

PAWS Park was the setting for this training, held on November 13th. For a fee, dogs were taught how to react when they encounter a rattlesnake. This valuable training could keep your dog alive!

Bark at the Park

On October 15th and 16th, PAWS Park participated in “Bark in the Park”. We shared in the profits by joining in this community event. Members of the Board ran a booth and sold T-Shirts and PAW Plaques.

Community Picnic Returns to Buellton

Several board members from PAWS Park supported this event, selling T-Shirts and collecting donations. Although less than $100 was raised, the exposure to the community was beneficial.

Carol’s term as Treasurer and Linda’s term as Board Member came to an end.

Jeanne Chambers was selected to fill the vacant Treasurer position. Carol and Linda both expressed their desire to continue serving on the PAWS Park Board of Directors and they were unanimously re-elected as board members.
